Collection and processing of personal data

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest. When you visit our website, information of a general nature is recorded automatically (server log files). This information includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, your IP address, and similar data. This data is collected solely to ensure the trouble-free operation of the website.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for analytics or marketing purposes, which is why it shows no cookie notice. The only cookie set is a language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE), and only when you open an English-language address that exists in German only and are therefore redirected. It is technically necessary for operating the site and requires no consent. Two items are stored locally in your browser, not as cookies and never transmitted to us: your choice between light and dark appearance, and, if you have dismissed the audience-measurement notice, the fact that it should not reappear.

Audience measurement with Umami (self-hosted)

We run Umami on our own infrastructure at analytics.neuklick.com. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing permanently in your browser. On each page view the script transmits: the page visited, the referrer, screen size, language setting, device type, browser and operating system, plus an approximate location derived from your IP address. It also reads from your browser whether you have disabled measurement there, and whether your browser sends "Do Not Track"; in either case nothing is transmitted. Your IP address is not stored: it is used only to derive a pseudonymous identifier that rotates regularly. We cannot link that to you personally, but it is not a fully anonymous procedure. There is no cross-device tracking, no profiling, and no sharing with third parties; the data stays on our own infrastructure in the EU. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in data-minimal audience measurement for operating and improving this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is deleted after 12 months at the latest. You may object under Art. 21 GDPR at any time: enable "Do Not Track" in your browser and nothing further is transmitted. You can also reach us informally by email at hi@neuklick.com. We do not use session recording.

Enquiry form

On the homepage, the services page and each individual service page you can send us an enquiry through a form. We process the data you enter: name, email address, optionally your phone number and your website address, the services you selected and your free-text description. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The information is used solely to handle your enquiry and is not used for advertising unless you separately agree to that. It reaches us by email via Resend (Resend Inc., USA) as a processor, processed in their EU region (Ireland, eu-west-1). Where data is transferred to the USA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. It is not stored in a database. Your enquiry remains in our mailbox until its purpose is fulfilled, at most for the duration of statutory retention periods. You may withdraw your consent at any time without formality.

Cal.com as a processor

Our contact page lets you book appointments via Cal.com. When the booking tool loads, data is transmitted to Cal.com Inc. You can find Cal.com's privacy policy at cal.com/privacy.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Vercel processes access data on our behalf as a processor. Where data is transferred to the USA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Our Umami runs separately on our own infrastructure in the EU.
