Custom Software Development
If you want custom software built for your business, you've usually already tried a standard solution and run into its limits. Some workflows don't fit into a purchased tool without constant compromises or spreadsheets propping up the gaps. We build tailor-made software that fits your workflow exactly, on your own data, with no per-seat licence and no vendor who can change prices or features on you at will. For many small and mid-sized businesses in Austria, that's the point where building your own software becomes more economical than the next workaround.
Who this is for
- Your team works in a standard solution that fits eighty percent of the job; the rest gets caught by spreadsheets, workarounds and manual extra steps.
- You pay licence fees per employee, even though only a fraction of the features are actually used day to day.
- Your data sits in a SaaS tool from a vendor who can change prices, features or terms unilaterally at any time, with no say from you.
- There's a very specific process in your industry, say in a law firm, a medical practice or a trades business, that no product on the market actually covers.
- Your company has grown, and the spreadsheets, email chains and paper trails that used to be enough are now bursting at the seams.
- You're juggling several tools that all need the same underlying data, and you re-enter information by hand because none of them talk to each other.
What you receive
An application built around your workflow
The software is built around how you actually work, instead of you adapting your process to fit someone else's product. Where a standard solution forces a compromise, we build exactly the step you actually need.
Full ownership of the source code
You own the code and the configuration. No per-seat licence, no dependency on someone else's pricing model that can change after the contract is signed.
Integration with your existing systems
The software talks to your ERP, CRM or accounting system where it makes sense, instead of entering data twice. Which integration is technically possible and worthwhile, we clarify already during discovery.
Hosting of your choice
Runs on European servers or, if needed, directly on your own infrastructure, both GDPR- and EU AI Act-compliant. You decide where your data lives, not a vendor in a different jurisdiction.
Clarity on maintenance
We're upfront about who looks after the software after go-live, what effort to expect, and what your options are if you don't want to keep that with us long-term. That's settled in writing, not the first time something breaks.
Onboarding for your team
You and your team learn the application before it goes into daily use, not afterward by trial and error. We hand over short, clear documentation of the key workflows that new hires can read later without us.
How it runs
Initial consultation
We discuss the workflow that doesn't currently fit, and roughly what a dedicated application could look like. By the end we know whether custom software is even the right path for your case.
Discovery
We analyze your workflow and existing systems in detail. At the end stands a fixed price for the build, not an estimate but a firm number.
Build
We develop, test and integrate the application, with regular checkpoints instead of a single handover at the end. That way you see early whether the direction is right and can course-correct before much is built.
Go-live & maintenance
We support the launch in real operation and agree on who looks after the software afterward. Your team is trained before we step back from day-to-day involvement.
Build and maintenance cost
The build is a one-time investment at a fixed price, only fixed after the discovery phase, not an estimate but a firm number. Custom software then needs someone to maintain it: security updates, bug fixes, adjustments as requirements change. That can be an ongoing support contract with us, your own IT team, or another provider, it's your choice. A support contract is a separate monthly line item, not a requirement. For Austrian SMBs, part of the build is often eligible for funding programs such as KMU.DIGITAL.
We agree on concrete prices in the initial consultation. All amounts excl. VAT.
What this costs to keep running is covered under operation & ongoing care, and where your data physically sits under hosting in Austria & the EU.

You get the source code and documentation and can take them to any other developer or your own IT team. We deliberately build on widely used, well-documented technology rather than exotic constructions of our own, so switching stays realistic.
That's something you decide, either through an ongoing support contract with us, your own IT team, or another provider. Unmaintained software ages like any other: security gaps don't get closed, dependencies go stale. We say that plainly instead of glossing over it.
For many workflows, an existing tool is the faster and cheaper option, and we'll tell you so in the initial call. Custom software pays off when your workflow is specific enough that every standard solution forces compromises that end up costing more over time than building your own.
We build on established, well-documented technology rather than short-lived trends, and hand over documentation that a future team can read and continue without us.
Usually yes, through that system's existing interfaces. Whether and how exactly, we clarify during discovery based on your actual system landscape.
The price depends on the scope of your workflow, the number of integrations with existing systems, and how many roles or views the application needs, not on hourly rates. We only fix it as a fixed price after the discovery phase, once the scope is actually clear. For Austrian SMBs, part of the build is often eligible for funding such as KMU.DIGITAL, we check that together with you if relevant. A concrete figure before discovery would be pure guesswork, which is why we deliberately name it only afterward.
That depends heavily on scope: a focused tool for a single workflow can often be built in a few weeks, while an application with multiple roles, integrations and permission levels tends to need several months. We set the realistic timeline for your case after discovery, together with the fixed price.
That's normal and not a reason for concern. The regular checkpoints during the build let you see early what's taking shape and raise change requests, instead of only discovering a wrong turn in a finished version. Larger changes to the original scope, we discuss openly before they're implemented, including the effect on time and price.
